Solplanet Unveils AI-Driven Commercial Energy Solutions at Intersolar 2026

Solplanet has unveiled a new generation of AI-enabled technologies at Intersolar Europe 2026, introducing integrated hardware and software solutions designed to simplify the management of commercial and industrial (C&I) energy systems.

The company showcased three key innovations: an AI-Hub for commercial energy systems, a commercial battery storage platform and a next-generation cloud API platform. Together, the technologies are intended to improve the coordination of solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and other distributed energy assets through a unified management system.

The AI-Hub forms the core of the new ecosystem, integrating PV string inverters, hybrid inverters and energy storage into a centrally managed platform. The architecture is designed to streamline system commissioning, operation and future expansion across projects of varying sizes.

The platform supports advanced energy management functions including self-consumption optimisation, peak shaving, load shifting and intelligent grid interaction. It also offers scalable backup capability with optional generator integration, providing greater operational resilience for commercial users.

Alongside the hardware, Solplanet introduced a cloud-based API platform developed for European and international energy markets. Built on an API-first architecture, the platform enables utilities, installers, software developers and energy aggregators to integrate distributed energy resources more efficiently.

Key features include OAuth 2.0 authentication, real-time communication through webhooks, developer support tools and scalable cloud infrastructure capable of managing large fleets of distributed assets. A dedicated testing environment with live hardware integration is designed to accelerate software validation and partner deployment.

The product launches come as Europe’s commercial energy sector undergoes rapid transformation. Rising electricity prices, grid constraints and the electrification of transport and industrial processes are driving demand for smarter, more flexible energy management systems.

Battery storage is increasingly being deployed as an active energy asset rather than simply a backup solution, supporting peak-demand reduction, load shifting, and participation in emerging flexibility markets. At the same time, businesses require interoperable platforms capable of managing increasingly complex energy portfolios.
